Use Free Explorer for search and limited tools. Choose Student Membership ($29/mo) for ongoing access to all five AI counselors and planning tools. Choose Guided Plan ($499) for a one-time personalized plan with async expert review, or $599 total if you want one live counselor hour included. Choose White Glove (from ~$3,000) for 15+ hours with a dedicated independent counselor.
Are the products one-time payments, or is there a subscription?+
Both. Student Membership is a monthly subscription (cancel anytime; annual option coming soon). Guided College Plan tiers ($499 and $599) are one-time totals for that planning package through May 1 of senior year. White Glove is quoted per engagement by the counselor. Free Explorer is $0 forever.
Is the $599 plan $599 total or $499 plus $599?+
It is $599 total for the AI + 1:1 Guided Plan. You are not charged $499 and then another $599.
Does the Guided Plan include Student Membership?+
The $499 and $599 purchases include platform access for the planning tools and support through May 1 of senior year for that package. They are not currently billed as a separate monthly membership on top of the one-time fee. Ongoing multi-year AI counseling is the purpose of Student Membership.
What does “expert reviewed” mean?+
On Guided Plan ($499), a CertiHomes counseling-team member reviews the AI-built list and strategy notes asynchronously — not a live session. On $599, that review is complemented by one scheduled live hour with a named counselor. White Glove is continuous work by your matched independent counselor. Free and Membership AI answers are source-grounded but not automatically human-reviewed unless you request escalation.
What does priority support through May 1 include?+
For Guided Plan purchasers: email support with a one-business-day target response on plan tools, deadlines and account issues through May 1 of senior year. It is not unlimited live counseling. Membership includes in-product AI and escalation paths while subscribed.
How does White Glove pricing work?+
Typical packages start around $3,000 for 15+ hours, but independent counselors set their own fees by region, experience and scope. You see the number in writing before you commit. Being matched is free. Platform economics for counselors are described on /for-counselors, not on this consumer page.
What data does the platform use?+
U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard, NCES, EADA athletics filings, institution-published AP and transfer policies, and state scholarship programs — refreshed on our servers. Confidence labels mark estimated vs confirmed results.
My student is a sophomore — is it too early?+
Earlier is better for course selection, dual enrollment and testing windows. Membership and Free tools fit grades 9–12; Guided Plan adapts to starting grade.
What if it’s not a fit?+
Guided Plan purchases: tell us within 14 days for a refund if the plan is not right. Membership: cancel anytime for future periods. White Glove: scope and cancellation terms are in the counselor quote before you commit.
